ytb - T101  How To Use The Learning Center

This Learning Center is designed to put information at your finger tips quickly and easily.  Take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with the features so that you can get the maximum benefit.

THE TOOL BAR

When you look at the tool bar, at the top left you will see three categories, Contents, Index and Search.

Contents

When you click on "Contents", the Table of Contents for the Entire Learning Center will appear.

We suggest that you read all of the modules so that you have a complete picture of the resources and information available to you.

But we know that sometimes you have a specific question and want an immediate answer. The following two features will help you quickly locate the information you are seeking.

Index

When you click on Index an alphabetized list of terms and topics will appear. You can scroll through this list and click on a keyword of your choice.

You can also type in a keyword in the field at the top and the index will automatically scroll down to that word.

Click on the keyword in the list, and you will be taken to one of the modules where this word appears. Remember that a keyword is very likely to appear in more than one module, and INDEX will only take you to one reference. Always go back to the Table of Contents to see all the topics and subsections, or use SEARCH to find multiple references to the keyword.

Search

Type in the word or term you are looking for in the search box and click on "GO". A list of locations will appear where this word or term is used. Click on any of these and you will be directed to that section of the Learning Center.

HIGHLIGHTED WORDS

You'll notice that certain words and terms are italicized and printed in a different color. If you click on these, a definition will pop up.

To close them, just click on them again.

The last module in the Table of Contents is a Glossary of YTB and Industry terms.

PRINTING PAGES

If at any time you want to print out a copy of what is on your screen simply use the default method for printing from your internet browser menu. For example, in Internet Explorer you would chose "File" and then "Print". This will print the content section of the screen you are currently viewing.

TIPS

You can change the size of page by placing your cursor on the vertical line separating the Content/Index/Search column on the left from the screen on the right. When the horizontal arrow appears, just drag the line in either direction.

You can hide the Content/Index/Search column by clicking on the "x" at the top. This will widen the text page. To re-open, just click on the headings in the tool bar.

By clicking on a URL in the Learning Center you will be taken directly to that website.
